The Practice

A room built to slow down in.

Larkspur opened in 2016 as a two-person practice above a bookstore. Ten years later we're three clinicians working out of a converted craftsman house five minutes off Highway 101 — still small enough that you'll always know who's answering the phone.

What We Treat

Care organized around what's going on, not a diagnosis code.

In Their Words

What people tell us after the first few sessions.

I'd tried therapy twice before and always felt rushed. Dr. Colón let the first few sessions just be about feeling safe enough to talk. Six months in, I actually look forward to Tuesdays.

JM J.M.Client since 2024

The intake process took ten minutes and I had a first appointment inside a week. As someone who almost talked myself out of calling three times, that mattered.

RT R.T.Client since 2025

Family sessions with Priya gave my son language for what he was feeling, instead of just consequences for how he acted.

Questions

Answers before you have to ask.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes — we're in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum/UnitedHealthcare, and Medicare. If we're out-of-network with your plan, we provide a superbill you can submit for reimbursement.

What happens in the first session?

Your clinician will ask about what brought you in, your history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. There's no obligation to continue — it's as much about you evaluating fit as it is the other way around.

Do you see clients under 18?

Yes, from age 13 with a parent or guardian's consent. Family therapy is available for younger children alongside a parent or caregiver.

Can I switch clinicians if it's not a fit?

Absolutely — just let our intake coordinator know. Fit matters more to outcomes than almost anything else, and we'd rather rematch you early than have you push through a mismatch.

Is telehealth available outside California?

Our clinicians are licensed in California, Oregon, and Washington, and can see telehealth clients physically located in any of those three states.

Your first session can happen this week.

Free 10-minute consultation calls run Monday through Saturday.
